Sunday

The kids were pretty happy this morning before church, so I had to get a picture of the two of them. It was actually a good Sunday for them. I actually got to sit in Relief Society the whole time for the first time in a long time :)

Dallin spent almost an hour trying on mom and dad's clothes. He is wearing daddy's pants, shirt and socks.
Last night we took Dallin to the driving range so Jeff could try out his new clubs.

Birthday, Rolling and Dentists!

We had a very busy day today. First, Dallin had his first dentist appointment and did fantastic. He opened his mouth every time for the cleaning and everything. They were very impressed with him. I think it helped that he was in his own special kid room that had a jeep and lots of stuffed animals to play with. He also got a bag with toys, a little stuffed monkey and his favorite...a new toothbrush. He is growing up so fast. He even got himself dressed for the appointment. He finally figured how to get shirts on and off, so today he wore 6 different outfits!!!!

Alyssa also finally figured out to roll over today. Daddy was even home to see it for the first time. She was very proud of herself.

And last but not least...it was Jeff's birthday! I got him a new set of golf clubs. The kids got him a new computer case. There was no way I was going to get up in the morning, so I made him homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast. We celebrated with pizza (it is too hard going out to eat with two kids) and an oreo ice cream cookie cake! Yummy!

A Week Full of Wonderful Weather!

The weather has been fantastic this week. We have spent several days at the park, gone on picnics, gone on several walks, and just played outside. I taught Dallin to play tag, and tonight Alyssa, Dallin and I spent a long time playing it. Alyssa giggled so hard every time Dallin would tag her :)

2010 Auto Show

On Saturday we went to the Central Illinois Auto Show and had a really good time. Dallin loves going because he gets to sit and play in all the cars.

Dallin loved the convertibles. This is a Porsche...he liked the expensive ones :)

Swings and Ice Cream

On Friday we went to the park and spent almost the whole time in the swings. Alyssa got in for the first time and kind of liked it. Dallin loved every minute of it.


The Ice Cream truck has been by our house several times in the past couple of weeks, and Dallin gets very excited. When I was a kid, I got ice cream a couple of times so I thought Dallin would enjoy it. Jeff kept telling me how expensive it was, and he was right. But Dallin enjoyed picking out a treat and eating it :)

4 Months Old!

Alyssa is now 4 months old!!! I can't believe how fast she is growing up. She had her doctor's appointment yesterday. She now weighs 13 pounds 12 ounces (50%) and is 24 inches long (40%). She has slowed down quite a bit from at first, but is still growing. Her head size is in the 10th percentile...so she has a small head just like Dallin.

She is such a happy little girl!
She refuses to sit back in her swing now....so it doesn't really do us any good, but she thinks it's funny.

Easter Weekend

We had a wonderful Easter weekend. We drove out to Jeff's sister's house in Iowa on Thursday night and stayed until Sunday afternoon. There were a total of 16 of us at her house. Four of Jeff's five siblings and their families were there, and we really enjoyed getting to see everyone. On Friday we all just played at the house while the men went golfing. Dallin loved getting to play with his cousins. Friday night the adults stayed up late playing Killer Bunnies, one of my favorite games.

Saturday we celebrated Easter. The kids all found their baskets, and then they had an Easter egg hunt. Thanks to Jeanna, it was so much fun. She had cute baskets full of candy for all the kids AND the parents :)!!

Alyssa was worn out after finding her basket :) She fell asleep cuddling with mom. She NEVER falls asleep like that so we had to take a picture.

After looking through all the candy, everyone went to a place called Jumping Jims. It has a lot of the blow up jumping castles and slides and such. Dallin stayed there several hours without slowing down. Jeff even got to enjoy jumping and sliding.


Then we all played outside again. The weather was too perfect to be inside.
