We took Dallin to the store to buy him a new church outfit awhile back. He decided on this suit and loves wearing it. We bought it on a Monday, and every morning he would beg to wear it. Doesn't he look so handsome?!?

House Hunting Trip

Last week we went on our house hunting trip. It was a very long trip even though it was only 3 days. We left on Wednesday and saw several places. We went back to the hotel (which we got to stay at for free because they screwed up on rooms) and decided we would look at a few more places that were cheaper. So on Thursday we looked at a few more, and they were cheaper for a reason. On Friday we went home after filling out some applications. Finally today we signed the lease. The place should be nice.

Dallin was actually really good during the trip. Alyssa was sick and teething, so she has had better days. On Thursday night she was up crying/screaming from about 12:30 to 5:30 in the hotel. When she finally fell asleep next to me she would wake up and cry every 5 to 10 minutes. It was a VERY long night, and Jeff and I were exhausted. Dallin had to sleep in his bed on top of the other bed. He thought it was very cool. We were a little worried and said we didn't want him to fall out. When he woke up the first morning, the first thing he said was, "See mom I didn't fall out."
We managed to do a few fun things. We went swimming every night. Both kids love the water. Sorry for the blurry pictures...poor lighting and picture taking.
We went to Ikea, chick fil a and a mall. We all rode this carousel in the mall.
Dallin's favorite color is orange, and he really wants this orange couch from Ikea.

Alyssa's one year appointment

Alyssa had her one year check up this past week. They said she looked fine. She is growing so that's good.

Her stats:
Weight: 17 lbs 14 oz (10%)
Height: 28 inches (15%)
Head Circumference: 17. 5 (25%)

The kids were having fun taking pictures the other day.
They both like to play basketball now.

Alyssa turned 1!!!

Alyssa turned one!! I can't believe it has already been a year. After the fun morning in the snow (previous post) and her nap, it was time to open presents. She woke up from her nap really grumpy, so she wasn't as happy as normal. She didn't really know what to think of everything. Dallin was way more excited to open the presents and did open most of them.

Her weak attempt of giving me a smile....she had been crying so her face is all red.

Opening her presents. She got a weeble tree house, a ball popper, a shopping cart, a learning helicopter, and a little people house.


Dallin went to build-a-bear and made her a teddy bear. He was very excited to give it to her.
She loved the helicopter.

Alyssa waited very patiently for daddy to put together her shopping cart.
After I made the frosting, I let Dallin lick off one of the beaters. I guess he dropped a lot on the floor. Jeff and I look over and this is what we saw...she was basically licking it off the floor. She was a fan.
Then it was cake and ice cream time. Alyssa and Dallin liked the frosting a lot! And Dallin blew out the candle for Alyssa.

Fun morning in the Snow!

Yesterday morning after breakfast, we all went outside to play in the snow. Dallin walked into our room when he woke up with his boots on ready to shovel :)
Alyssa hated wearing all her winter stuff because she couldn't move, but she loved being outside. If I put her down she would cry because she just wanted to be held. If I walked inside she would scream because she wanted to be outside.

Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

We got our first amount of measurable snow tonight. The kids stood at the back door just waiting to touch the snow. We finally let them out for a minute with no coats. Alyssa showing daddy the snow.

Then Dallin got his snow stuff on and shoveled the back porch. Then he helped Daddy shovel the driveway.
