1 Month already!

I can't believe it has already been a month since Alyssa arrived. She is getting so big and cute! She has started to smile a lot more now, and I think it is actually at us now instead of things like gas :) She still loves to follow daddy around the room. Hopefully she will soon figure out her days and nights. She really has been a joy and we all love her so much!


Today I asked Dallin to go pick out what he wanted to wear. He picked his monkey Halloween costume and wore it until he had to go out and shovel all the snow we got. He sure has been getting to shovel a lot lately.

It has been a busy month. We took Alyssa on her first trip to Iowa. We went from the 29th of December until the first of the year, and we had a lot of fun. Dallin got to play in all the snow, and he helped build his first snowman. And my niece practiced holding Alyssa since she will have her own sister any day now.

Jeff's brother and his family also came down to visit and meet Alyssa. The cousins took turns holding her. It was really nice getting to see them.

Christmas!!

We had a great Christmas this year. We stayed home this year and had Jeff's parents stay with us. On Christmas Eve we went over to our friend's house for a delicious dinner. Then we came home and read the Christmas story. Dallin helped daddy point out where he needed to read :) Then he got to open one present.

Dallin had a blast opening presents on Christmas morning while Alyssa chilled on her blanket.

We bought Dallin a vacuum this year because he loves to help me. I think it was the present he was most excited about. He vacuumed the house for a good 30 minutes that morning:) Too bad it doesn't really work :)

We bought Dallin a motorcycle that he LOVES! He rides it around the house all day. At night he parks it in his room. He drives it around to do everything like brush his teeth.
Dallin also got a small bouncy castle for the basement. He LOVES jumping on it. Hopefully it will help him get some energy out throughout the day!

Starting on Christmas day and ending this morning it seemed to never stop snowing. We didn't even have church today. Jeff took Dallin out to help him shovel the driveway, and Dallin convinced daddy to take him on the sled again.

Blessing

We had Alyssa's baby blessing this past Sunday. Jeff's parents were up here, and his sister and her family came up for the day. It was really nice and I was very glad they were able to be there with us. Jeff gave her a beautiful blessing.

It's Snowing!

This morning Dallin ran into our room screaming "It's Snowing! It's snowing! I'm so excited!" over and over again! Jeff took him out and they shoveled the driveway. Then Jeff took the sled out and pulled Dallin around. Dallin thought it was so much fun and laughed quite a bit!

She's home!

Alyssa and I got to come home on Sunday afternoon finally! Here she is leaving the hospital!

Dallin was very excited to meet baby Alyssa. He sat there next to her car seat saying "Hi!" over and over again. Then he got to hold her and was very excited.


She smiles a lot so I tried to get a picture, but I kept missing it....here's the best I could do.

Last night we got a tiny bit of snow, so Dallin had to go out and shovel it for us! He loved it!
