Lunch with Daddy!

Today we decided to go pick up Jeff from work to eat lunch. Dallin loves to see where Daddy works, especially today because there were lots of forklifts and other machines moving stuff outside of the building. We just went to Hardee's since the kids were kind of cranky, and Jeff didn't have much time. Both kids ate great. Alyssa hasn't been eating anything at all the past 2 days, and today she ate quite a bit of chicken. She also got a little taste of a strawberry milkshake! We had fun eating lunch with Jeff!

This was Alyssa's I Want Some More of That face! Here little hands were going everywhere trying to tell us she wanted more!

Dallin's First Camp Out!

We told Dallin last Sunday that Jeff was going to take him camping. He was SO excited. Every day he asked if it was time. He woke up early on Friday morning and asked if Daddy was home because he was ready to go. I kept him busy all morning with the dairy farm, but he got so excited he actually took a nap, which NEVER happens.

Jeff took him on the father/sons camp out the ward was having. Dallin thought it was the greatest thing ever! He had a blast. He had a bunch of little buddies there including Caleb! They all played great together and even got in a little trouble for being too loud. I guess somebody came over and complained. He asked the boys if they could be quiet, and they all shouted NO! and ran away. Oh well! After it got dark, Jeff took Dallin on a little hike to the pond where they threw some rocks. Then they got in the tent to eat some cookies. It took Dallin a little while to fall asleep because he wanted to talk to Jeff, but he slept pretty good. He was the last little kid awake! Then they had eggs and bacon for breakfast! Dallin really had a great time.

The Dairy Farm

For playgroup this past Friday, we went back to the dairy farm to see all the cows. The kids had fun. When Jeff got home, Dallin told him about all the cows that were as big as daddy's truck :) He also talks a lot about the two skid steers covered in cow poop he saw because their job was to move the cow poop out of the way. It was a great story for a 3 year old boy!

Dallin really just liked looking at all the tractors.

A baby cow was born while we were there. Dallin thought that was kind of cool.

9 Month Old Appointment

Keeping Aly entertained at the doctor's office...

Alyssa had her 9 month appointment today. They are a little worried about her because she has dropped off significantly on the growth charts. Dallin did the same thing but he ate food....Alyssa does not. The doctor said she looked great besides that, and we just need to try to get her to eat different foods and I have to eat more food. We had to wait a long time today, and Dallin was a little wild. Doctor's offices are just hard with kids, but I am glad she is a happy little girl! It's amazing how fast time goes with more than one kid. She does so many new things every day. She tries very hard to keep up with Dallin. She is all over the place and never stays still. Alyssa is great at playing by herself, which is great because Dallin thinks he needs all the attention:) She is just growing up so fast!

Her stats:
Weight: 16 lbs 4 oz (8%)
Height: 26 inches (5%)
Head: 17 (25%)

I just looked over Dallin's records because he was so small too, and they weighed the exact same at their 9 month old appointments! However, Dallin was almost 3 inches taller. It seems weird to me because Alyssa feels so much bigger than I remember him, but I guess she's not.

Spider Park

For our family home evening activity tonight we went to the spider park. We all had a lot of fun! Dallin loved climbing the spiderweb, and Alyssa loved climbing on the playground.

The best way to end the day is to have daddy read some books!

Labor Day Weekend!

We went to Jeff's sister's house in Iowa this weekend. On Saturday Jeff and Ken rented a stump grinder and took care of 11 stumps. They were pretty tired. The kids played outside most of the time. They liked to take the jeep to the top of the driveway and coast down. Later that night we watched the BYU game!! Go COUGARS!!

After lunch we took the kids to Jumping Jim's, which is one of Dallin's favorite places to go. He loved jumping on all the inflatable toys. Alyssa even joined in for a little jumping and sliding.

Alyssa got lots of playing time in with her cousin Ella. They are so cute. Dallin loved playing with Kendra. They get along great, and they are fun to watch. Jeff and I loved just being with family and enjoying all the yummy food! We all had a blast!! So I guess I only took pictures of Alyssa...I guess I need to take more pictures of Dallin! He was always off running around...

Fun in the backyard!

We have been having fun playing in the backyard. Yesterday I let the kids go swimming. Dallin wanted to keep the pool out so Daddy could swim with him later. Well, we went out after dinner, and Dallin and the neighbors decided to jump in with their clothes on. Don't you just love Dallin's long sleeve's and pants? They were having fun until Dallin body slammed the neighbor...then it was time to go inside. They were a little wild!

Tonight we went outside and played after dinner. Dallin and Jeff played football, and Alyssa did her normal thing...playing on her blanket. We are just enjoying the last of the warmer weather before the cold comes....
