These boots were made for walking...

This morning Dallin was all about his boots. He wanted to wear them all around the house. He also didn't want to take his truck pjs off, so he wore them all morning. He was an active boy. He took his dog for many walks. He played with his cars on his slide, and then finally went down the slide many times with his dog.

It's never good when he is quiet!
Last night I was making dinner, and I realized Dallin had been quiet for a little too long. Long enough for me to peel a couple of potatoes. I left the pantry door open (that is normally locked), and he made a mess! He was pretty proud of it too, however Jeff and I didn't think it was as funny. We had just bought a big 10 pound bag of pancake mix, and Dallin dumped ALL of it on the floor. We saved the stuff on top, but it was still a pain to clean out of all the cracks. As you can see, Dallin was very messy today anyways. That's chocolate all over him from the few M&M's I let him have earlier in the day. I guess boys are just messy!

Long post with last week's pictures
Ok! This is a really long post so sorry about that. I just had way too many cute pictures and videos of Dallin this week. He really liked when I took his picture, so I took a lot. We didn't really do anything but hang around at home. It was cold again, so back to the inside of the house we went.
We read A LOT of books this week. He has some days where he wants to read all the time, and other days where he never wants to read.

We are thinking he could be a good catcher in baseball some day. He will sit like this for long periods of time.We also played with his trucks and cars a lot. Dallin is so excited when he gets to play with his cars.

As you can see, he still has a problem thinking he can fit on the stairs and platform. We have to remind him he is tooo big, which he doesn't like. This is a picture of how Dallin folds his arms for prayer. I think it is pretty cute :)

Maybe one day Dallin will be the future center for BYU. Daddy taught him how to snap the ball. It is pretty funny to watch. He even says the "Hut Hut!"

Dallin giving daddy hugs after climbing all over him.

Dallin loves to try on shoes right now. Here he is trying on Daddy's shoes.

We bought Dallin a toilet the other day, but we haven't really tried training him. He knows when he has gone, but not in time yet. The other day he ran from one room yelling "Pee!!!" So we hurried into the bathroom, but not in time. Anyways, here he is tryinig to put his pants on afterwards. It was making me laugh.
Here are some pictures from Dallin's bath the other night. I remember when he was so small, and we thought it was so cute when he would splash. Now he is too big and gets water all over the place. He really isn't allowed to splash, but I thought he looked cute so I had to get a picture. I don't know what face he was making in the other picture, but it kind of makes him look like a chubby little boy.

Dallin thought it was fun to put on the hat and glasses. He actually kept them on for a little bit, well long enough to keep the glasses on during lunch.

We were eating dinner the other night, and he thought it was comfortable to put his foot up on the table. He is pretty flexible.

Dallin's new favorite word is Dude.

Mommy and Daddy's new toys
My brother was asking me the other day what our new truck looked like, so I thought I would post some pictures of our Christmas presents. Here is our new truck and tv. The truck is Dallin's favorite. He absolutely loves getting to ride in the truck. If we go anywhere, he runs to the truck to make sure we take it over the car. We finally got our tv right in time for the Super Bowl. At least we got to watch one good football game on it.

Finally a warm and beautiful day!
It has been a long winter, or so it seems to me. We've had some really cold weather. There was one week that it didn't get above 0!! When Jeff would go to work it would be in the -20's, but the windchill would be in the -40's. Yesterday it was finally warm enough for us to go outside and play. It was in the 50's and felt wonderful. We got some donuts, and then spent the morning at the park. We found this park that was perfect. It had the playground, tennis courts, basketball court, and a sidewalk around the whole place.
First Dallin enjoyed playing on the slides. He really likes getting to climb up all the stairs! Yes, that is the wind. I'm not breathing really hard :)

Then he spent a really long time in the swings, and he had to try out every single one. Thank goodness there were only 4. He thought it was pretty funny to swing at the same time as daddy. Dallin had some pretty funny sound effects when he was swinging.

Then we went for a walk. Dallin started off running but by the time we got to the end, he wanted to be held. He wore himself out :)

He is such a boy. He was pretty proud of this big stick he found. He kept telling us Big Big Big!!
We also found a pond for Jeff to drive his boat on, if he ever fixes it. Dallin loved being on the dock looking at all the ice since it was still frozen.

Our happy little boy!
This is kind of a random post. I just have a lot of cute pictures and videos that I wanted to put up.
Dallin has really been into his dogs and reading books. One of his favorite books is Clifford the big red dog. Dallin really misses Jed (Jeff's parent's dog). Jed came over last week, and now Dallin asks for him numerous times a day. So his fake dogs will have to do.

The other day Dallin peeled his own orange, and now he won't let me peel any of his. He is actually pretty good at it and is so proud of himself.
We finally bought Dallin a booster seat for the table. He REALLY liked it the first couple of mornings. Now it is kind of a hit and miss, but most of the time he likes it. The chair really helps him eat because he can actually see above the table. His favorite thing to eat right now is Frosted Mini-Wheats Cereal. He would eat it for every meal if we let him.
Lately DAllin has been in a really good mood. He really likes to go down his slide. Here is a video of him sliding in a really giggly mood.
