Easter

For Easter this year, we went to Jeff's sister's new house in Iowa. It's about a 4 1/2 hour drive, and on the way we got Chick-fil-a AND Whitey's Ice Cream. It was yummy. We had a lot of fun while we were there. Dallin and Kendra act like they have never been apart. They get along so well!

It was pretty cold, but the kids still got in lots of playing time outside. Dallin LOVED driving this truck.
Alyssa loved to eat/play with this table and chairs.
They have these huge windows, and we spent a lot of time watching the construction workers build houses. A cement truck came and did some work. Dallin pretty much thought it was the sweetest thing ever. There were also several skid steers, dump trucks, and telehandlers.
While the babies napped, Dallin and Kendra dyed some Easter eggs. Dallin's favorite color was orange.
Then it was time for the Easter egg hunt. Alyssa and Ella were let down the stairs first.

Then Dallin and Kendra came down and found most of the eggs :)
Alyssa put all of her eggs in the car to take them for a spin.
On Sunday morning they each got to find their Easter basket. Dallin got golf clubs, Despicable Me, books, animals, camera, and lots of candy.
He also got TWO Kit Kats.
Alyssa got lots of stuff like some new cars, balls, pinwheel, animals and an awesome CAT dump truck phone that she never wants to put down.
She loved eating candy!
Then it was time to get ready for church. The girls all had matching dresses and looked so pretty. Dallin looked handsome in his suit as well!

Sick Dallin

Dallin was sick with some sort of stomach bug on Friday. I always know he isn't feeling well when he takes a nap. Alyssa was worried about him and didn't want to leave his side.
Except when the pizza came....she was loving the cheesesticks with sauce. I just love those beautiful eyes!
Here she is when she gets to put her shoes on. She gets SO excited and sits on the bottom step ready for us because she LOVES being outside.

Happy Birthday Jed!

Jed, Dallin's dog, turned 2 so we celebrated his birthday. We got a gift from Build A Bear to get Jed something, and Dallin picked out new shoes. He was so excited. He made him a cake in his kitchen and wrapped the presents. We sang Happy Birthday and he helped Jed open his presents. It was fun and very cute.

Fun with friends

Dallin's best little bud from Peoria came up to visit on Saturday. The kids had a blast.

Alyssa was fascinated with the baby.

Alyssa was very jealous, and she immediately sat in his lap when it was free. It was pretty cute. I just love this picture of them.
Alyssa and Audrey had fun playing together.
But not as much fun as Dallin and Caleb. It's amazing how as soon as they get together they start laughing and talking in their own language.

There is Sunshine in my Soul Today!

Today it got up to about 60 degrees!!! We spent a couple hours outside playing, going for a walk, and having a picnic. It was absolutely wonderful.

Alyssa was just so happy to be outside, and even happier when I took off her coat.
She really does point to almost every airplane that flies by us, which is one every minute or so.
Dallin loves watching the ducks at the pond, and he loves throwing rocks.
Always protecting his little sister...he was making sure she didn't get too close.
And to end our perfect day outside, we had a picnic.

My magicians!

Dallin watched an episode of Caillou where he was a magician, so he wanted to be one too. We don't have any capes or hats, but this is what they found. Dallin tried to make his sister disappear, but she wouldn't cooperate :)
Both of them are obsessed with reading books right now.
Dallin got to talk to his friend on skype the other night. Both boys giggled the whole time. Dallin read him books, and they chatted for a few minutes. It was very cute, and he was so excited!
Isn't he just so handsome :)

Children's Museum

In the next town over there is a nice children's museum, so yesterday we went and got a membership. It's not very big, but it has plenty for our 2 kids. We spent about 2 hours there, and the kids had lots of fun. For lunch we went to Chick-fil-a...yummy!!

Alyssa loved the aquarium.
Her favorite was the water area...not my favorite for winter clothes.
Dallin also loved the water. He is still really nervous from when he got lost at the last museum, so he stayed really close to us :)
Dallin also enjoyed the "air" area.
His favorite was the big chair. They both giggled in this chair.
Terrible picture, but they held hands, (so they wouldn't get lost) and walked all over together. Such good friends :)
