Grandma and Grandpa Came to Visit

Jeff's parents came to visit us this past week. We had a lot of fun, and now the kids are very sad and bored. We did lots of shopping, went to the Cheesecake Factory, and just had fun hanging out. Jeff and his dad got new boats. There were lots of smiles on all the boys in our family. The kids LOVED playing with their dogs. Now Dallin tells me we NEED 2 dogs just like them. The dogs keep the kids entertained all day, so that was kind of nice. Dallin got lots of bonding time with Grandpa, which he really enjoyed. I was terrible about taking pictures during the visit, but I got a few of them with their new toys.

Kansas Part 2

We did lots of other things while we were in Kansas. Jeff went golfing a couple times. I got to go shopping. We stayed up late just talking, watching movies or storage wars every night. The men and the older kids went to the lake one day. Then we all went on Thursday. It was so much fun. Dallin stayed busy the whole time swimming with Kendra. Alyssa mostly ate on the beach.
The whole family went on the tube. Alyssa was scared until I got on, but loved it. When the boat stopped so we could get off she started crying for more!
Dallin is very brave and went on the ski trainer all by himself.
Alyssa enjoyed just chilling on the boat playing with the life vests buckles.
On the 4th of July we did fireworks. Dallin LOVES setting off fireworks just like his dad :)
Alyssa on the other hand HATES fireworks. She just does not like loud sounds. She cried a lot and kept telling me "inside inside inside!" So I just put her to bed before we really started.

Kansas Part 1

We just got back from a week in Kansas. We had lots of fun, and we were all very sad to leave. We just love being with family. Jeff's sister and her family came to Kansas too. He also has a sister that lives there who just had a very cute baby. The kids LOVED playing with their cousins. Dallin and Kendra get along so well. It's great! Alyssa loved calling out to Ella. They are so cute.

They played lots of ring around the rosy!
Angry birds was played A LOT by the kids on the 5 different tablets there.
The X-box kinect was played by all.
Dallin mowed the lawn with Grandma.
On the very warm days, the kids played outside in the water. A caterpillar and the pool was out the first day. Dallin and Kendra did lots of somersaults over the caterpillar. Alyssa just liked to play with a leg when she finally was brave enough to go near it.

Another day the slip 'n slide was taken out. Dallin couldn't quite figure out how to slide down the ramp. He tried jumping...
Finally daddy "helped" him slide. He thought that was awesome, but Jeff tired quickly.


This pretty little girl didn't want to do the slip 'n slide so she played with the towels and Roxy.
Alyssa cried a lot the first night we were there when the dogs (they have 2) would come near her. It only took her about a day to warm up to them. Her favorite word by the time we left was ROXY! She said it hundreds of times every day. She was so sad to leave her behind. She liked Jed too. She got comfortable enough with him by the time we left that she would stick her fingers in his mouth and nose and laugh hard.

Six Flags

Another day Grandpa was here, we went to Six Flags. My dad was great and watched the kids A LOT so that I could actually ride some roller coasters. It was so much fun. Dallin was so much fun this time. There were 3 roller coasters that he was big enough to ride, and he LOVED them. All of these pictures were taken with our phone, so sorry about the quality on some.

This was him right before it took off on the first one. It was actually a pretty good coaster and more intense than I thought it would be. He laughed and held up his arms the whole time. He is much braver than I was at that age.

Here is another coaster he rode. He is in like the 2nd one from the end. Not that I can see him...

Here are more rides he did.
It was probably only about 65 degrees at the hottest time of the day. It had a good breeze going most of the day, and it was cloudy all day. So it really wasn't waterpark temperatures. Jeff loves water rides more than amusement park rides, so Jeff, Dallin, my dad and Tori went in the water and did some of the rides. Dallin wasn't big enough to do any of them but he did the wave pool. It was too cold for me so I chickened out.
Alyssa didn't want to get her swimsuit on, but she enjoyed playing with it.
We just hung out on the chairs.
Alyssa was really good most of the time. She was just happy to be outside even thought that meant she had to stay in the stroller most of the time. I just loved this picture of her :)

Fun with Grandpa

My dad came up from Texas this past week. We had a lot of fun. One night we went and played miniature golf. I was tied with Jeff going into the last 2 holes and choked!!!! Oh well! Next time I might win :)
One day we went to the zoo. The kids LOVE the zoo so we bought a membership there. Alyssa talked about the animals all day. Dallin was happy because Grandpa bought him one of the rhino mold things.

Father's Day

I thought I would post Dallin's father's day card he made in primary. He's such a cute kid.

More fun with Grandma

While my mom was here, we did a few more fun things. First off we went through 3 boats that Dallin got for his birthday. The first one just stopped working. The second one sank....and the third one finally worked! Dallin was pretty sad until we bought his new one. Here is his boat that sunk....it's the little green speck in the water. Jeff was using his boat to try to knock it over to us.

One night we went and shot off rockets. Dallin thought it was awesome. Alyssa was very scared and hated it. She did have fun running around.
One day we went and played frisbee golf. We had a lot of fun. Alyssa was very dirty, tired and hot when it was over. I'm pretty sure Dallin is already better than Aunt Tori :)

We went shopping, and the kids had fun playing in the kids area.

The kids were obsessed with apples while she was here.
The kids were very excited to sit next to each other in the way back in the car.
Alyssa had to get an Echo done while Grandma was here because the doctor heard a heart murmur. She did great and sat there for 45 minutes while the technician did the test. I couldn't believe how great she was. Her tests came back fine so now we don't have to worry. Here is the waterfall she was obsessed with at the hospital.
