This past weekend was a lot of fun! We started our weekend off with a hike up to the Y. We promised to take my little sister before we moved, and since the weather was great we decided to go. It is so pretty when you finally get to the top. Dallin stayed home and slept while we went. I thought I was in a little better shape then I am...man was I sore the next day...and the next.
After the hike, we went to the Blue and White game, which is BYU's football team scrimmage done every year. The offense plays the defense for a little while. It was Dallin's first experience at Lavell Edward's Stadium. He loved just sitting on the bleachers watching the game. Since I forgot to bring sunscreen, he spent a lot of time underneath playing on the benches and standing in the shade. There were these two boys throwing a football back and forth, and Dallin tried to scream at them to tell them to throw it to him. It was pretty cute. After the scrimmage, they let the fans onto the field to mingle with the players. We didn't meet any of the players, but we took pictures on the field.
Sundays are always a little harder on Dallin since he only gets one nap. He was pretty tired and it was in the 70s, so before bedtime we took him out onto the little patch of grass outside our apartment. He loved the grass on the football field, but the grass outside our place is a lot more prickly. He is pretty funny to watch on grass because he doesn't like to have both hands on the grass at the same time. He holds one hand (and sometimes one leg) way above the ground. Lately he has been getting better about it. Last night he liked to play with his daddy and push his ball around. It was nice having warm weather. We are getting a little sick of the cold!
