Easter Weekend!

Since Jeff had Friday off from work, we decided to take a short trip out to Kansas. It's about a 9 hour drive. We left on Thursday afternoon when Jeff got home. On the way, we stopped in Kansas City and got Chick-fil-a!!! It was yummy. Then we got to Jeff's parents house around 9:30. Dallin was extremely happy to be out of the truck and to be playing with Jed, the dog.

We did some shopping, ate lots of good food, played outside a lot, watched movies, played games, and just enjoyed being around family. Jeff's sister came up with her family, which was nice. Dallin had an easter egg hunt, played lots of trucks with grandma and grandpa, didn't take naps, was obsessed with his new CARS clothes, looked at bunnies and chicks, and enjoyed all the attention he received. We had a really good time. We were sad to come back home on Sunday, but at least we got to visit Jeff's parents for a little bit.

Jeff's dad has this sweet little trike thingy (i don't remember the actual name) that Jeff and I tried out. It has two places for your feet, and you have to move side to side to make it go forward. I'm not gonna lie...it was hard for me to do. I could go downhill, but not back up. Jeff was great at it, and he he had a lot of fun.

Dallin's favorite thing he did was ride on the riding lawn mower. He kept calling it his tractor that he got to ride. He was so excited. Dallin even helped daddy mow the lawn.
Here are some pictures from when Dallin found the easter egg. He loved eating the M&M's afterwards.

Awww Dallin is so cute finding eggs! The Easter Bunny came for me and aly this year, and as usual hid our baskets. Then me and aly had to find like 20 eggs hidden downstairs in the kitchen and living room...so we raced to find our baskets and then the eggs...aly ended up winning. I guess i'm getting old and slow (: But now I have so much candy i am going to get fat!!
Remember those little trike things that sit super low to the ground and have 3 wheels and small handles? the only way to move those was by moving the handles too. I think I remember riding them at Danika's house when we were really little...
